I have been teaching some of my students sculpture and ceramics. These are a few that I had left over from examples and I found that these coil pots made perfect succulent/cacti homes. The last one with the plant inside is a student’s and they look so good all together. ?

We painted at the Mira Mesa community park today and it was a lot of fun! It was Ginger’s birthday who used to live in California so Betty picked a San Diego beach for us to paint. For this group art class I had my students create a color wheel as we will be painting much more frequently. I had a great time painting with these young painters at the Mira Mesa community park. They were so fun and funny as they painted their summer fishies. I even got repeat customers and all the parents I have been meeting have been super nice. I received new students today and I decided I wanted to divert from our class a little to directly paint something using values and to see what level my new students were in. I had a lot of fun with them and enjoyed their good effort.
This was a super fun event at Green Flash Brewery in Mira Mesa that I call Beer and Brushes! This group class we did some guided drawing and used ink to draw our favorite animals. We also used patterns to fill in the animal drawings that we made. We didn’t finish, but we will continue next class and go on to do more painting.
