As an illustrator I am an effective visual communicator who likes to play with narrative themes (usually with humor) and I often delve into the realm of mythology.

As a painter I tend to use elusive themes of mythology to aid in conveying more complicated concepts and visual metaphor.  To me mythology is not a tool in which to escape, in actuality it is a way that allows a lasting and powerful exchange with the world and everything in it.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Arts from San Diego State University with a focus on painting and illustration.

I have strong traditional fine arts skills with some photoshop knowhow and I use a range of wet and dry media such as gouache, charcoal, oil, ink, and pastels to name a few.

I have 15+ years of Art Teaching experience.
