I made this doodle of Ganesh on his birthday which also fell on Labor Day. I found out that Ganesh was a todler made from turmeric and had his head cut off by the god Shiva. I sketched Giger’s Alien on Bolaji Badejo’s day of birth (the original Alien). I watched that movie recently and it still had the same impact on me then when I watched it as a kid. Rainy, gloomy, cloudy> I drew this handsome sketch during a rainy day and the figures at Common Ground Coffee Shop. I have been itching to paint a plein-air and with my luck it rained all morning. I’m not bummed though because at least I got to draw a little bit and it felt goooood.
