When you make your way into the jungle make sure to steer clear of the red men called Kapres. They are tall in stature and well known for their short temper. You will hear them, they rage around hurling boulders and felling trees, but the most dangerous are the crafty ancient ones that will hang quietly above thick branches, obscured in the leaves waiting. The Kapres were said to be mountain folk once and were later banished into the boondocks by a powerful deity. If you’re lucky they may agree to aid you in your journey by offering them their favorite tobacco; if you are unworthy, you might find yourself as torn pieces of meat.
