I met Mayor Todd Gloria recently during a community event in Mira Mesa honoring Miramar Martial Arts Academy.  I was introduced to him as Mira Mesa’s community artist and he said that he liked my work!  I tried to play it cool, but I think I was stuttering and thankful for the comment.  Later we had some good food and I got to chat with good community folks I haven’t seen in person since the pandemic.
