My drawing skills feel a little rusty, but I will use this year’s inktober to fix that. I will be doing a series of drawings using my own fantasy world as a base (like last year) because I enjoyed it and it allowed me to hone my imagination. (Click image then scroll down to see more images)

Day 1–Swift
The Strider is a light guard cavalry unit used by The Three Towns to protect their trade routes.

Day 2–Divided
The jungle denizens fight the Kapre with unparalleled vigor because they know that the Kapre don’t take prisoners.

Day 3–Poison
The Visha Kanya are known monster hunters and their uses of potent poisons make easy work of creatures even thrice their size.

Day 4–Underwater
Eel Bay has large iridescent pearls that are said to have healing properties. Unfortunately it also has a lot of eels, big ones.

Day 5–Long
The Asturi Conscript’s favorite weapon is the long-sword.

Day 6–Sword
The Duende of the Asok are the best blade-smiths in the land and they craft the Bagani’s sword of choice, the kampilan for a fair price.

Day 7–Shy
Hadurag cannot ignore it when something runs from him. He hunts the meek, the shy, and the cowardly. It’s unknown if it’s a predatory instinct developed when he transformed or something buried from when he was a man. When he was a soldier he fought for the weak as a guardian of the realms and now as a monster he swoops at running warriors like a hungry hawk going to snatch its prey.

Day 8–Crooked
They say in Warida everyone is crooked, from the politicians to the guards, and even the humble street vendor in the various market places. If one is not savy enough in the streets of Warida one could find themselves liberated from all their belongings or worse. The city is so wealthy, but the only thing that trickles down to the common people are greed and corruption. Oh and the smell of piss.

Day 9–Screech
The Maquiao screeches when it’s angry, it screeches when it’s happy, and even when it’s hungry. It’s up to its rider to know why.

Day 10–Gigantic
What impressed the founder of Nushaba was not the Higan’s gigantic size, but their innate kindness, curiosity, and large hearts.

Day 11–Run
When brave warriors and fierce monsters refuse to run, legends are made and or limbs are lost.

Day 12–Shattered
The Kulam priestesses use glass vials or hollowed out husks of fruits and or emptied eggs to throw a chemical cocktail. When the projectile is shattered it produces a specific chemical reaction. Most Kulam users are fond of creating an explosion of fire, others use smoke screens and flashy coloring to disorient their target(s). Each Kulam priestess’ grenade differ greatly as they each study and perfect their own craft and improve upon old recipes.

Day 13–Teeming
The Nuno have overrun the northern part of the continent, living in caves and traveling through a network of underground tunnels. The continent originally had none of these aggressive short creatures; however, in just a few generations the continent is now teeming with wild Nuno

Day 14–Fierce
The Nuno are inherently cowards and even the fiercest and largest of their Ketu depend on the support of their numbers.

Day 15-Mysterious
Though the Bagani have the reputation of being good and honorable, mysterious crimes have been occurring in Warida and rumors are spreading that the Bagani are somehow involved.

Day 16–Fat
The Kapre find the larger of their kind to be very beautiful and terrifying at the same time. That is one of many reasons the Kapre try to gain fat at such a fast rate.

Day 17–Graceful
The Duende are ever-living and some have taken advantage of their years to become the most proficient and graceful in some discipline or arts.

Day 18–Filthy
The large Hari Worms are found deep in the jungle and spits out green sticky webs that ensnare small creatures. They are said to be filthy and full of diseases.

Day 19–Cloud
Dark clouds follow the Tuskahn wherever they roam, sometimes leaving a choking miasma that hangs in the open air for days

Day 20–Deep
Abandoned Nagini temples now house scavengers and craven creatures in its deep and hallowed husk.

Day 21–Furious
Furious-The Duende and the Nuno are old enemies and when they see each other on the battlefield they fight with extra fury.
–

Day 22–Trail
The trail would be easy enough to follow Kika thought. She knew to keep her distance though to keep the Tikbalang from knowing that it’s being stalked.

Day 23–Juicy
Kapre Trappers in the north know the Nuno by one name in their language and it’s roughly translated as “juice.”

Day 24–Blind
Palu II is the prince and heir of Nushaba. He is the son of Palu the Red, a great Warrior King of old. Palu II quickly became his father’s pride, mastering states-craft, sailing, and blades. He was kind to his people and kept the bordering villages safe from beasts and bandits, gaining his people’s love. Before going through his Bagani Trials, Palu II met with an unfortunate fate leaving him blind. This occurrence has weakened Nushaba greatly and has made its future unsure. Great houses of Nushaba fight for succession rights and the blind prince has since been hardly seen in years. Some say his father sent him away to the Alnasl highlands to live out his life in comfort. Others say he is training with the elusive Dorro Clan to regain his claim as heir and to restore the faith of his allies in his leadership; however, it may be just hopeful rumors of villagers who once loved the old prince.

Day 25–Ship
There are a multitude of types of ships that make port in Warida’s harbors and some ships look to be cousins of other similar ships while other vessels look completely alien. A keen eye is able to distinguish the kinds of ships to the type of wood unique to certain cities, and even the unique name and history of the sea vessel.

Day 26–Squeak
Outlanders always mistake the Dire Cave Lion with a bear, but the Nuno know what they are. It’s the reason that the Nuno carry torches despite being able to see well in the dark. It’s what makes them squeak in terror even in their own deep dark tunnels.

Day 27–Climb
The Duende of the mountains keep strong in the mountains simply because they climb all day long.

Day 28-Fall
The peace in most ports are maintained by allowing a duel to be overseen by the guards. The duels are typically without arms and the first to fall on their back loses. The event allows the combatants to release their anger, it provides citizens with entertainment, and produces less fatalities.

Day 29–United
Thanks to Nusha’s diplomatic skills, she secured and united powerful alliances to the east which has helped made her city prosper.
–

Day 30–Found
Warid wore a perpetual scowl on his face. He was a calculating and hateful individual who was called Warid the Great by his warriors and Warid the Terrible by his foes. He was nothing like his sister Nusha. He was a blood-thirsty conqueror and would found his city using force. He drove his enemies away and even his only allies, his siblings were always suspect in his mind.

Day 31–Mask
The Nagini Warriors wear masks not because they wish to hide, but it’s because they wish to express their combat prowess, their healing arts, and other remarkable deeds humbly in the name of their deity rather than taking credit individually.
