These were super fun to do in my sketchbook.  I had been practicing my figure drawing a lot recently and chanced on some images of soldiers.  I found that it was an easy and fluid process and in exchange for my lines traveling curves, my lines got to move around different geometric shapes which I thought was good practice in itself.
